Have just installed windows 2003 server edition... it is surprisingly good. there are so far no bugs. although im sure im about to discover some. there are a few annoyances like setting up the internet explorer options very fidly and annoying but once there done its easy. i think its because its server addidion.....
Only reason i installed it was i got a copy from work. and its lagit. i also got a lagit copy of office xp so now my machine is all registerd and stuff. so no more watchin what sites i go to...
Well thats me done just thought id share this information with you

Course he did... Ways around that though ;-)
Anyway scooper, for the `normal` XP user here, what are the advantages of going to the server 2003 OS (beta??) as opposed to sticking with the (imho) VERY stable XP?? How `out of the box` (well `off the net..) is it?

no this is original. i got it from work, had to activate it. i had a off the net copy of xp. i prefer it to xp. its smoother and multitasking is way much better. im going to see how it goes over the coming weeks and oh it aint no beta. this is the full version was released may 1st. it really is a good piece of kit. we do have office 2003 beta at work but aint guna waste my time at the moment as its 8 disks.

I have XP pro, and, I think it`s great. Multi-tasking is fine and it is as stable as it could be. I therefore don`t want to go messing around bearing in mind that it could all fudge up.
