Saw that portion of the gig and you`re right, they are amazing. Not a big fan of their earlier stuff, got into them after seeing the video to Bliss on Sky News oddly enough. Thought a lot of Origins of Symmetry and Absolution were hit and miss, but new album is superb...

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

I have to say they`ve never really grabbed me... I thought the Arctic Monkeys who were on before Muse were absolutely fantastic...

Kaisers were great on Friday...

Did they show any Slayer? Someone in our house deleted the live coverage, and it made me laugh when Edith looked, shocked and nervous when Brian from Placebo mentioned Slayer as his fave band of the show, and I thought they`re going to show any proper metal bands.

What f***s me off is that the BBC only shows bands that are fashionable to listen too, whilst near enough shunning anything metal.

There was no mention of Slayer, My chemical romance, Bullet for my valentine, Eagles of Death Metal. or Mastodon.

That is sensible though, you can't be shocked by the BBC playing the most listened to bands of today? The BBC has a large audience to try and impress - of course they are going to air the most popular bands playing in attempt to please a larger audience.

If you don`t like it buy a ticket and go watch them there.

I am a licence payer, and all that money goes to the BBC, so I`d expect them to show a fare percentage of the music that`s been played there.

Where`s that address to FHM`s out of the mouth of babes.

I don't read FHM but I am guessing that was an insult :/ .
I can't see why you would say that it is a stupid comment when It is a simple fact that the BBC will have a budget, with a set amount of cameras and air time. They cannot afford to film everything and show all the stages at the festival - (have you seen how many bands there were). Therefore they will have to make a selection of bands to film and broadcast - setting up the cameras on selected stages. Why can i ask are you saying it was a silly comment :/ ?

**

Edit: sorry that was a bit of a moan for the sake of it. Yes the BBC should have made a fairer selection of bands to broadcast - and really how hard would it have been to film and show ALL the bands on the main stage. Even if it was one or two songs from each - You are a licence payer and your viewing needs should be met.

Sorry, but that`s not right- . I recorded `everything` and the only Slayer I saw was the interview with some comedian who was fan, plus one song. They were showing the weekend over two channels, plus they had two full time interactive channels running from 7pm until 2 am each night. That meant we got the delights of a couple of birds warbling awful cover versions plus all manner of stuff that seemed to get repeated ad nauseum-if they can show that kind of garbage, then surely, a 30 minute slot for the metal bands on the interactive channels wasn`t out of the question? The only `Metal` band that got that was Coheed & Cambria.
