Looking for Instrumental Guitar Songs: Help/Advice please
Hi! I am looking for instrumental guitar songs for a party I am having at home. It is not a dance party, but just a lunch, so thought having some nice fast and cheerful guitar in the background might help - spanish guitar maybe?
Any pointers as to what to look for? Torrents preferred ;)

How about Antonio Forcione?

I`m not sure as I`ve not heard much, but Santana? I don`t think he is much of a singer...

Look for stuff by Joe Satriani. Or if you like it a bit more rock, try Steve Vai.

depending on your musical taste you could try anything by Burt Weedon or The Shadows some excellent guitar work on their tracks
If you want to come after me you`ll find me in Newport Pagnell but be warned I know karate, Judo, Kung-fu and several other dangerous words

Larry Carlton, Eric Johnson, Lee Ritenour...
All good music, all mesmurising guitarists...upbeat sometimes, mellow others, but always stunning to listen too.
Hope this helps.
Neil.

Hmmmm, depends on the type of Guitar music you want but for fast and cheerful I`d suggest:
Joe Satriani - Flying in a Blue Dream (Mixture of dreamy instrumentals to some bone cruching riffs, and a few instrusting vocal songs too)
Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare (Very precise, very weird in places, very cheeky in others, a real gem of an album)
and one that I haven`t even got on CD but was a real favourite as a kid, Marino - After Forever`s Gone (a lot more laid back than the two above).
HTH,
J.
