It would be arcade fun if the framrate was better... played on a level called
"Hanoi" tonight and it was shocking.
Also getting a bit ****ed off with the game locking up after i`ve managed to
unlock a new weapon.... three times now i`ve had to pull the power lead from
the back of the PS3 :(

not seen the hanoi level yet (probably played 10 games total) i`ll play more tomorrow, but i`ll hammer it on saturday...

not had any issues with it locking up, Just got the RPK, & am only around level 6 or 7, so maybe i havn`t played enough yet to hit any of the glitches (only seen 3 of the maps so far)  the only thing i have noticed, is that it takes ages to connect when i initially click for multiplayer,  both MW1 & MW2 are the same for me when using my o2 connection (my adsl line is purely for the ps3) but on black ops the screen just hangs there for ages doing nothing,  whilst on the other games theres a spinning emblem to indicate it`s at least trying to do something lol...

i`ll make my mind up about the game over weekend,  but so far, even though there`s a lot to like, i also think there`s quite a bit that disapoints, or at least doesn`t hit the mark...  the GFX being a big part of that.

Ditto on graphics.
Ditto on clunkiness (issat a real word? :D)
Ditto on connection problems last night.

I just completed single player "normal" mode without the intel nonsense (I don`t look for it) and only found one piece of intel by accident.
Online is very clunky to get going. I don`t seem to find the fluidity that MW2 had, or the light graphics and backgrounds, seems to me they`ve tried to make it a bit darker or more cartoon-ish with the graphics and it`s ended up with it a lot darker on screen. Possibly down to the change in the programming team from MW2?

I find I can control it a little better than MW2 so much so that I`m going to try the Splitty in the next few days again, really hoping this works for me this time round.

And finally updated my console to 3.50 FW to play this and the very next day they find a bypass for PSN for lower firmwares... talk about gutted :(

did you get a fragnstein as well ?  or am i imagining things lol :)  if so, use the frag before the wired splitty,  i allways found the mouse buttons on the splitty quite hard work, whilst the wireless fragnstien (ditto the wireless splitty`s) where much closer to the quality of a good ps mouse

Played a bit of this yesterday and starting to get MW2 style annoyed now. People are already up to about levels 30-40 and ruining the games by camping in stupid spots, hunting in packs etc. I know this is part of the game but it makes it difficult for Average Joe to get into it when they are just target practice.
This probably sounds like I`m bitter but I swear they were glitching somehow too as within 60 seconds or so of starting a game one of them had attack dogs out already (it was Team Deathmatch so not a perk carried over or something).
I would just like to see better matchmaking personally where you play people who are at similar levels and not where people just picking up the game and getting used to it are pitched against clans who are all level 40somethings.

You can bring Killstreaks onto the next game? (If so didn`t know that, assuming it wasn`t available on MW2).

I`ve had a bit of a blast on Tues and then last night and was up to about level 10.  (I`m probably higher as my brother came around and couldn`t be bothered logging out, so he played for a couple of hours on my profile).

I`ve not been too bothered about the graphics really, the framerate has been a problem on a couple of occasions, yesterday I ran and went to stab a guy and apparently missed.  He proceeded to shoot directly infront of him (whilst I was now behind him) and he managed to kill me as shown on replay :s

Haven`t had any connection problems though, if anything it might be going in a bit quicker than MW2 which is strange as I usually have a rubbish connection :)

goddamit... this game is soooooo broken it`s unbelievable.

i`ve lost count the number of times tonight that i`ve had to
pull the power lead out of my PS3. multiple times i`ve had
connection errors / time outs etc, which i don`t get on MW2.
multiple times the after match info screen has frozen out of
frame, either halfway down the screen, or halfway across the
screen.

if you can`t already tell, i`m more than a bit annoyed with this
absolutely shoddy piece of ****.

shame really as i`m quite enjoying it when it actually works!

forgotten how to add an angry red smiley, so er,  ggrrrrrr!!

is the single player longer than MOH`s ?  i only ask cos i`m getting it for my son`s pc, & he finished MOH in 2 sittings :/  bearing in mind he has learning difficulties & is autistic,  & an adult might finish it in 4 hrs, but it shoulda lasted connor about a week,  even he said it to quick (his exact words lol)

Chris, how old is he?  Without wishing to `preach`, this game is an 18 certificate.  There`s lots of bad language and images of torture, neck slittings and stabbings etc. :/
I won`t even play it in front of my two - let alone let them play it.
Having said that I suppose it depends on which skill level he plays it on.  My guess would be between 6-8 hrs on the second level?
