Help to resolve flickering with a wharfedale

Martyn Ga (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 23rd May 2002, 14:34

I have a Wharfedale DVD 750 which I have hacked to br region free when playing back DVDs in region 1 I get a slight flicker in the back groung which involves the colour getting lighter and darker in bands across the screen. Is there any way to resolve this and what may be causing it?

I have also read some of these threads talking about Macrovision can someone explain to me what this is and could this be my problem

Have you got your dvd going through a VHS? If so try plugging it up directly to the TV. If you only have one scart on your TV, get a 3 to 1 scart box from Dixons or Tandy, just make sure it can handle RGB for your US DVD`s.

Mine does the same thing. Scart straight into TV as well. It`s been a brilliant player though. I`m thinking of upgrading soon though.
