Anyone with Philips DVD701, or any Philips DVD - Please help !!

How the hell do you change the output between Video,SVHS and RGB ?
Manual`s a complete waste of time.
Simply says " plug in your scart ". No reference to giving you the choice between signal formats.
It`s doing our head in now !!

my manual says:
1.rgb connect a scart to the rgb scart on tv
2.s-video .connect the s-video out jack on the dvd to the s-video in jack in o tv using an optional s-video cable then connect the audio jacks to the tv
3.video cvbs connection connect the video out (cvbs) jack to the video in jack on tv using the cable suppled

does this help?
ps.if you have rgb tv why would you want to use the other connection anyway?

That`s what his manual says as well.
Every other DVD player I`ve experienced (LG,Samsung,Toshiba,Pioneer) lets you connect by scart, and then choose what type of signal goes down that scart. ( usually a choice of video,S-VHS or RGB )
He can`t connect by RGB as he has his SKY connected to his RGB socket.
Ah well...looks like he`s stuck with it unless he buys a better machine....

i too have sky through rgb if you have two scarts on your dvd player then just loop it through you can even loop a vcr as well but if you have only one scart on dvd player then you screwed youll have to buy a double scart adapter and share it ok
