Only £15 between these 2 players- anyone know what's the difference? My Local Tesco's has both but haven't had time to go there & check the boxes yet. Thanks

I have the 852 which is very good.
I think the 1010 does not have a display (only on screen) it does not output NTSC discs as PAL 50 so you wont be able to record one to VHS.
It may also not have macrovision disable option?

I had the 1010 for all of one day I returned it when I discovered the MACRO cannot be disabled I got the 852 instead , its great :-)

Weren`t there remote problems with the 1010 as well? I seem to remember that a few people (or maybe loads!) had to return their player coz it didnt work, basically. I`ve got an 852, and its a pretty nice little player.
