Tesco Dansai 852 or Asda Pacific 750. Which is the best
I have a choice of one of the above players only.
The Pacific750 is £10 cheaper and doesn`t have an embarrasing tesco logo appear on the screen so i am inclined to go for this one.
Anyone compared the two?. Is there an advantage of one over the other i maybe should be aware of.
TIA
RE: Tesco Dansai 852 or Asda Pacific 750. Which is the best
My mate and I have a Dansai which is very good.
Another mate bought a Pacific and I took my colection of VCD`s around to show him.
It took the player upto 2 mins to reconise the disc! It also kept locking up and he had to keep switching it off.
The Tesco screen is not a problem. If your playing DVD`s you only see it at the begining. When your playing Mp3 or Mpeg video files (only the Dansai plays Mpeg video burnt as data) the screen is covered.
I think with the newer firmware for the Pacific, you can`t disable macro.
If the Tesco thing is still a problem there are 2 clone versions of the Dansai.
The Decca DDV-2110 DVD Player is one!
Its available from http://www.powerhouse.co.uk/mum for £102.99 including delivery
Technika DVD212
Price is £97.98 inc delivery, which is a bit cheaper.

Of the three, the Technika has the best facia, IMHO. Seen this facia on a shot of the MiCo L031R (...that`s if it really IS an 852 clone). A mate bought the Decca and finds the case a bit bulkier than expected.
This Technika is being given away with some mobile phone deals, see mobileshop.com

Is this Technika DVD212 from empiredirect identical to the Dansai 852?.
Does anyone know for sure.
