Sky remote & TV set

Does anyone know how to "teach" the sky remote to operate your telly.
I remember pressing lots of buttons then punching in a code, depending on which Tv you have but me minds gone blank.

Try http://www.sathelp.co.uk/ and follow the link at the top for Remote Codes. That should tell you everything you need to know!

Andy. if I can remember correctly the procedure is as follows.
1) Press TV on Sky R/C
2) Press and hold down the Select and the Red button at the same time on the Sky R/C. The light on the R/C should flash twice.
3) Press TV then Off and repeat this until the TV switches off.
4) When the TV switches off press hold down the Select button on the Sky R/C. If the code is accepted the light should flash Twice again. If you cant get Text etc, try doing the same procedure again. I usually have to do this more than once and then count how many times I have pressed TV and Off .If the TV switches off but you can`t get any other functions working on the R/C use the original TV R/C and turn TV on and merely keep going until it switches off again. It is just a matter of trial and error Bud. HTH :-)

Im an x sky tech adviser . thats right one of the arse holes it takes ages to get thru to on the phone , there is a way of checking what code works with your remote by putting a code in . also if you go to the sky interactive and look under technical you will find all the codes that are not listed in your manual and all the up todate one as well.
