Where can I get my hands on a Macrovision "busting" gizmo (either lead or box-of-tricks). My DVD has no scart output but uses a SVHS output which I plug into a scart adapter direct to my TV. My DVD is the

Try http://www.sonel.com or http://www.dvdchips.co.uk. Search this forum for "macmaster" and you will find plenty of info.

The Macro master in the SONEL link above is now available through the `Innovations` catalogue and web site so it now has the credibility of a recognised supplier. It also works a treat !

Thankd for these ideas, more always welcome. As my DVD has no scart output, so will the MacroMaster work between TV and Video. My DVD will be connected to TV via SVHS.

I assume you are wanting to copy a DVD to VHS?

Does your TV allow you to record FROM the scart out to the VCR - because as I understand it, that is what you are thinking of doing (?)
You will also need to run audio out to the TV from the DVD, otherwise no sound on the recording....

Yes, DVD to VHS is my goal
Yes again
The Audio from the DVD and SVHS go into a scart adapter into the television. The TV has a Scart Output to my VCR Scart Input.

Parallel posting!
Looks like you might be OK, but maybe find a supplier that will refund if it doesn`t work!!

Have you tried recording a DVD at the moment? Even with macrovision, you should still get a "disturbed" picture - that should at least prove the route through from DVD to VCR works, before you go ahead and order a gizmo...

Yes, I`m getting pulsing pictures. My concern is that this lead is designed for DVD to VCR connection and not via a TV.
