Toshiba SD100E and CD-R disks

grazza (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 13th April 2002, 22:23

I`ve got a Toshiba SD100E DVD player chipped for multi-region use but would like to play VCD`s burnt to normal CD-Rs. More fool me for not checking before I purchased but the manual states that whilst VCDs can be played - CD-Rs cannot.

Does anyone know of a way that the Toshiba can be fooled into accepting these disks or if there is a modification available + details of how I would go about it (apart from this gripe I`m very pleased with the player).

Any and all help gratefully appreciated.

Cheers.

Try www.multiregionmagic.co.uk - they sell cdr`s that will play on your tosh......."That`s Write" are the brand name, they`re designed for professional recording, and will play on virtually any player.....good luck !
