You`re between a rock and a hard place.
The 511 doesn`t have a built-in 5.1 decoder so you have to go for a system that decodes. That excludes most of the cheaper surround systems that only amplify what the DVD player does ( Bush/Goodmans etc.).
There are systems that will decode for less than £200 ( Yamaha ? ) but, by god, they`re ugly...( my opinion of course ).
Ugly black boxes that look like something Blue Peter cobbled together from cornflake boxes. Yuck...
Maybe looks aren`t important to you, I don`t know.
For a combination of looks/performance/price the Sony HTK215 is the best bet. It`s still around £280 but it`s an award winner and sounds fantastic.Easily worth the dosh and will happily cope with you upgrading your player, which you will undoubtedly do in future when you`re hooked to DVD !

I have ordered a VideoLogic Digitheatre silver from www.qed-uk.com for 200quid
It has had some good reviews from both PC and DVD websites etc.

It has a remote control, Dolby Digital and ProLogic decoder etc and looks quite good.
Do a search on www.google.co.uk and you will see some reviews.
OR goto www.videologic.com and from the product information page you can read some reviews.
