Recommendation for full surround sound dvd system

Would anyone please have any prefences for a 5.1 dobly surround region 2 dvd system that could be hacked to play region 1. is any pasasonic system that could do this? for around £500

You may need to look at one that is modified, rather than hacked - how about a multiregion Sony S500, £499 from www.multiregionmagic.co.uk?
Alternatively, you could buy a multiregion player and a Yamaha VS10 decoder/amp and speaker set (~£330 + DVD player). Plenty of recommendations for players here - for good quality, look at a Multiregion Pioneer 444 or Toshiba 210 (can`t be hacked - need to be modified so get it already done). Should be able to get something for around £170 to hit your budget.

if you can strech to £700 try the new denon dvd700 i think it is it gets great reviews comes with nxt speakers and dvd/ampcombined


i got the denon avr-f100 with nxt speakers with dvd and amp seperate he sound is awesome the unit isn,t large and bulky and the speakers just disappear into the room

Look no further than the Schneider HCS 5000. Everything you asked for and £200 change. Can be bought for £299 at Asda`s.
