Sony DVP S535 or something else

Ben wants a DVD Player (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 7th November 2000, 16:43

I looking for a decent multi-region DVD player which will also play the RCE discs. I`ve looked at the Sony (modified) DVP S535 and this seems pretty good. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I`ve got about 350 quid to spend.

Also, does anyone know about any suppliers who sell this player in a modified multi-region version?

Thanks

Ben

For 350 you could easily get a Hitachi 505:) but the new 705 will be out soon for around 350 multiregion.

There is also the Panasonic RV60 (I here it`s sound output is great), or even the new Revoy player which looks like a Mico but has far superior technology inside?

The difference between the 535 and the 335 apart from the decoder isnt that great! Now the gap between the 735 and the 535 is considered to be alot bigger and it`s only 50 quid more!

HITACHI 505 ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Try the Revoy 2200 @ £325 which you can purchase direct from Revoy Sales on 01664 840854, or contact us on www.revoy.co.uk.

This player meets your requirement and much more - it is RCE proof, multi-region, Dolby Digital (AC-3), DTS and plays DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-HDCS discs, so loads of choice. Also MP3 menu.

Features also include multi-angle, S-Video, Composite Video, PCM 8 Channel, Re-play 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, slow and `select time`, OSD.

The advantage of the high spec Zoran Vaddis III processor is that it has upgradable features by changing the software, so no need to buy new hardware for new features.

Look forward to hearing from you.
