I tried a region hack and it has`nt worked but now it won`t play region 2 dvds either! Anyone know how I might restore this back to the factory settings? Also now when the player starts with no disk instead of bright blue it now is dull and says dvd player low???

which hack did you use. i used the hack on this web site and it worked fine.on a phillips 612. if you haven`t, get a 1,4,all remote and keep trying diferent codes. i locked my player and now it works ok.
