can anyone please help as i seem to have developed a flicker problem with my dansai dvd i did not notice the flicker when i first started watching it. when the machine is turned on even the screen with (dvd video) is flickering this is also the same when the film is running to. and i dont know if it needs to go back to tesco for replacement or not any help would be great thanks

i had a prblem like this with a hitachi player my tv couldnt accept pal60 from it that well it was ok when i set it to output pal

what is pal 60 as i have never hear of it before. if that is RGB i have tried it in both that and pal and it is the same in both all i know is that my tv has 3 scarts on it and the first 2 are able to take RGB or pal and i was recomended to set the dvd to RGB for the best picture

im not that clued up on the dansai but when my hitachi was outputtikng ntsc there was a flicker in the bottom left corner this was due to the dvd player outputting ntsc i changed this via the remote there may be another set up menu to do this on the dansai im not to shure

How did you sort it - Bet the player was set to PAL as default and you`ve changed it to AUTO?

i have found that when i put the dvd into the second scart output/input on my tv, which automatilly goes from RGB to pal, the picture flickers on pal but not on RGB, but my dvd does not apear to stay in this mode when it is turned off and then on again. This i did not know, if i put the dvd into my third scart output/input the dvd works fine in pal this is the only option on this scart. (i will get a new gold plated scart lead and try that as i think it might be a lead problem)
