Page 1 of Schneider DVD 855 upgrade
Hardware Forum
Don`t know if this should be in here or software forum, so my apologies beforehand.
I have received the upgrade CD from Schneider and followed the instructions.
I was led to believe that this cured any lip sync problems. Should it have cured sync problems on all regions, or is it just R2 discs?
The reason I am asking is because I can` t see any difference after the upgrade, menu etc still looks the same and some of my R1 discs (only region I have sync probs with) still have lip sync problems.
Thanks.
RE: Schneider DVD 855 upgrade
I managed to get the upgrade CD from the net - How did you get Schneider to send you one directly, did you request this it?
After you`ve installed the upgrade are you sure you selected `restore defaults`. I think this is needed to refresh / update bios.
I`ve done mine had noticed no lipsync probs on DVD`s - I have them on VCD`s but then this is probably down to the VCD`s than the player.
ta
I phoned Schneider`s office last Thurs and I got the upgrade CD on Sat morning, very impressed I was!
I did the restore defaults, but I haven`t really seen a vast change in anything.
Don`t get me wrong, the player in general has been performing brilliantly. it`s just on rare occasions there is a very slight lip sync problem. This is mainly on Army of Darkness : Bootleg Edition in a few places...not the entire movie.
Just thought that if I tried the upgrade it may solve that little problem, but it doesn`t appear to have!
If you`re using a bootleg DVD then no wonder you`ve got problems, try with a legal copy
RE: Schneider DVD 855 upgrade
Can only surgest trying your DVD on someone elses DVD player and see if the lipsync problem is a faulty/dodgy DVD rather than your player.
No, the Army of Darkness Bootleg Edition is an official release from Anchor Bay...it`s a director`s cut version!
