flashing pixels on samsung tv....any ideas??
i got a 37" samsung tv a r87 series and i am having problems with flashing pixels on the screen.
i does not happen all the time but i get it 6 or 7 times during some movies but not at all on others. the dvd player is a samsung upscaler connected through the hdmi port, i have tried a diffrent player and used a scart but still have the same problem.
it also happens on tv but not that often mainly channel 4 logo and various adverts, the link gives an example.
i have adjusted settings (pretty much all of them) but i was wondering if anyone else had experianced the same problems with this tv.
sorry i dont seem to be able to sort a link out :(

We had the same problem, flashing red pixels on the screen especially in dark areas or shadows. This is going back about 3 years now.
The only way to get rid of them was to turn the tv off and then back on again.
Reported the fault to samsung, tv was still under guarantee, they collected and 3 months later, yes 3 months, the tv came back with a new main board and the fault was gone.
All the best

Is it like short lines flashing on the screen? If so, I get them sometimes as well. Mainly on SCART which is coming from Sky+. I also sometimes get a single intermittent line of them a few inches from the bottom of the screen when using PS3 via HDMI.

Ours was lines too, about half a centimetre long flickering in the corners of the screen or any dark areas.
It would only happen after the tv had been on for 2 hours so I assumed it was just on sky, put it down to a bad signal or old sky decoder, but then watched a few dvd`s one after another at it was there too. So got on the phone to Samsung.
All the best
