I have recently purchased a Cyberhome 528 DVD and find that when I play films I get interference form my VCR (JVC 680) which consists of a ghost picture behind DVD film. Does anybody know of a cure? apart fom unplugging the VCR everytime I want to use the DVD.

If you`re using a SCART cable to connect your DVD player to the TV set, you can cure the problem by cutting a wire in the cable. Open up the plug at the TV end of the SCART cable and snip the wire leading to pin 19 of the plug.

Eric agree with mike I have cut wire 19 on mine and ghosting has gone.Open scart casing at tv end(unscrew and split with small screwdrive it will split easily) wires are numbered ,19 is at one end and coloured grey,Tape up after cutting and put back together.

Thanks for your help, I have since had other problems with the machine, subtitles appearing randomly being one. The DVD I have is a replacement for an earlier faulty model which had a disc drawer that caught on the cover flap every time I closed it. I`ve decided to cut my losses and take it back to WHS for a refund.
