Hi does anyone have any info on this amp. I am thinking of buying a new amp along with the mission cinema six pack speakers. Do you think that these are a reasonable combo.

Any comments welcome

Got one from www.hifijunkies.co.uk when they were £300 (now £350). For the money this is a brilliant amp.Sound quaility is exceptional. and it is beatifully built to last. Nice learning remote too.I use mine with the quadral surround 1240 and the difference in quality from my old kenwood dd/dts reciever is huge. Btw the new marantz amps are worth investigating too.

Re six pack - maybe a little long in the tooth now - I got an M71 cinema pack, but you can also get the M72, or make up your own with M73/4 floorstanders if you wish. No sub included, but the M7DS surround speakers are great, and I`ve been impressed with what even the tiny M71s kick out. I`m currently plotting an evil sub to complete things, in time for the DVD release of Lord of the Rings ;-)

I have a similar setup. I purchased the Onkyo just before Christmas from Hifijunkies and the Mission M72 pack. I am quite pleased with the sound and quality of build of the amp and speakers. I currently have a set of mission stands on order just to complete the setup. I also have a Pioneer 444 DVD player. It was a toss up between the Onkyo and the dennon 1802. The remote control is rather nice (better than the dennon).
I am now considering buying/renting (possibly from blockbuster, if they have them) the Video Essentials DVD to help me configure the system properly.

Interesting thought, renting the video essentials - bet no-one rents it, though. Otherwise try http://www.ezydvd.com.au - we almost need a communal copy that circulates around the group (I know, I know, probably against forum rules...)
