Page 1 of DANSAI 852 PROBLEMS !!! BEWARE

machine has 1 scart when u connect it to tv automatically fires up but when u switch back to tv via your av button u will get normal tv for 3 seconds then it will go back to dvd, even when machine is in standby, only way of watching tv is switching machine off, i have tried all scarts on back of tv , only bought yesterday,,, IM LOST

Hi there - I have my own problem using the scart with this machine :-)
and have discoverd other problems from contributors to this forum - beginning to think there may be a "general" functional problem with the scart connection on this machine.

Mine works fine. I press AV on my TV remote for the DVD. then TV when I want to watch TV. Never switches back automatically. the only `problem` I have is that when you have graphics on the TV (when changing channel and the CHANNEL 4 message appears for instance) then you can see the DVD hold screen, but as soon as the TV pop up disappears so does the DVD interference.
If you are having problems. Why not just switch the machnine off with the POWER button when you aren`t using it???

spoke to helpline adv me to diconnect pin 14 or 18 on the scart lead this will eliminate problem as this was the constant feed pin, anyone know which one ???

but that will knacker your scart lead if you want to use it fror another device,wont it?

It works!!!, disconnecting pins 14 and 18 allow the Dansai to be in Standby mode, without overiding the Sky Digibox..
