RE: DANSAI 852 PROBLEMS !!! BEWARE
Hi there - I have my own problem using the scart with this machine :-)
and have discoverd other problems from contributors to this forum - beginning to think there may be a "general" functional problem with the scart connection on this machine.

S-Video not working with Dansai 852
Hi there - just got a Dansai 852 - but get broken black and white picture when using Scart from DVD, and S-Video output selected on DVD remote with S-video input selected on TV (Sony).
Yes, the TV does receive S-video pictures OK through the scart from other equipment.
Issue further complicated - I get black and white only (but not broken up) through dedicated s-video lead from DVD to dedicated s-video socket on TV. This occurs when DVD output set to s-video on DVD remote. But if I set DVD output to video on DVD remote I get colour on the TV through the s-video dedicated connection !
And yes the s-video cable works OK with the TV when using other equipment with an s-video output.
Any thoughts on what the problem maybe - Jimi

RE: DVD Player through TV
Hi there - I have experienced this problem too. My response has been to use a low tech pro-logic sound system in favour of the TV sound.
