Cheapest decent DVD player ?

Thinking of getting my dear old mum a dvd player for her xmas. She`s no technofile so I just want a simple, no nonsense, player for as little money as I can get away with.Reliability is the key as if it acts up in ANY way she`ll end up not using it, but won`t tell me, bless `er...
She`s going to be using it on a stereo TV but it`s only a large 4:3 screen. It has scarts but I don`t know if any are RGB, so that doesn`t matter. She doesn`t plan getting a widescreen in the forseeable future either. It would be better if it were black as well to fit in with everything else.
So...
Anyone recommend a cheap, RELIABLE, player in black ?

Cheapest DVD player available in black is one of the Cyberhome players.
The 528 sells for around £99 but reliability is variable. You could get a good `un and have no probs...or ! .Richer Sounds also have stocks of earlier Cyberhome players for £80.

A well known branded player ie Pioneer 340 will cost more but should be more reliable and with a better backup.

I personally like the LG players , I have a 4210 which is simple to use, good picture and sound and with a good backup.Available for around £120 but only available in silver.
