The latest Sony models won rave reviews - What TV (I think) say the LCD`s have finally come of age and were the best pictures they`d seen.. :o

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

The sony bravia is based on panels sourced from samsung. The electronics are slightly uprated, though I would doubt the picture quality would be that much better. Check out the new R74 range from Samsung - with that kinda dosh, you could get a 40-42" telly from mr sammie easy. Of course, with the sony, you pay for the brand image too, but that is quickly getting eroded. Everyone around me has bought a sammy, and are extremely happy with it.

Hey, if he wants to spend 2.5K an a 32" tv then send him my way please. Tell hime to put a grand back in his pocket. if he wants something a bit more design led then he could look at the Loewe Indervidual. http://www.loewe-uk.com/individual_viel_de,31099,53.html He will have to then get that extra grand back out.

with it`s unnecessarily complicated setup and menu sysytem Really??? I have all ways thought that menus were some of the best out there. Ok, the set up can have a couple of quirks but any retailer worth thier salt should set it up for you anyway. I don`t sell loewe any more btw. I will give another vote for Samsung.

another bro-in-law got the loewe Individual yesterday (family is going LCD crazy) and i offered to set it up for him. I have never seen a more complicated setup in all my life. It was apalling. The picture was fine, although blacks were a little grey for me. But the real let down was the menu system.. and the fiddly remote. terrible design. I really would not recommened the loewe brand to anyone based on the experience... vastly overpriced too.....
