BBC interactive programming
Right, this is a good one........
A mate of mine phoned today to ask me a question about the interactive/viewer choice on BBC channels on Sky.
He was viewing Proms in the Park on BBC via sky and pressed the red button to find one of the other locations.
When he found one that he liked , he started recording, but when he tried to watch the recording he found that it was of the original concert, why is this?
RE: BBC interactive programming
I`d never tried to record when using any of the interactive services before. Just went and had a play. Admittedly there`s nothing special like sport etc being broadcast with an interactive service right now, but I checked BBC1 and Sky News, and accessed their multiscreens that you select from and their text services etc.
Everything I saw onscreen was recorded to DVD, including when I selected to watch an alternative news item fullscreen.
Next time I see something interactive on, I`ll try recording again and see what happens. I wonder now whether I could have recorded the Robbie Williams concert that was on Sky at the weekend with alternative camera angles? I watched it mainly through camera 3, but switched through the others at times to see if I was missing anything. Never thought of trying to record it though.

Thanks Sue for yet again taking an interest, I tried the same thing last night with the same result as yourself, I am going to see my mates setup and try to figure out why he got the result he did :B
RE: BBC interactive programming
He does have standard Sky, does he? I just wondered if he had Sky+, and the recording was from the second channel selection rather than the one he had onscreen? (Shot in the dark, I admit)
