Just bought one of these from Tesco
the playback is fine but cant record from SKY or any TV channells
has anyone else had this problem?

Should have no problem with this machine unless u have a dud.
Select input by pressing source button.
You should find it OK been using my DVDR 2005 for several months.
Gets stuck on Xvid but plays most things.
