The Bush DVD 2004 & Pro speaker package.....Is it any good? Please Help!
I am interested in buying this budget set up but i am having difficulty finding one to try out.Is the player much good and is the setup reasonable for playing music cd`s? What is the quality of the dolby digital like? Where is the cheapest place to buy this pack? I am a newcomer to the world of DVD, can i watch tv in DD if i had this pack?

General consensus seems to be that the speaker package is an OK budget surround solution, but the player is pants.
Better off buying a quality player like a Toshiba 210 for around £180 and buying the PRO300 speaker system seperately for around £80-£90 from some Tescos or off the net. Quality electrical direct ( QED.co.uk) sell the speaker package on it`s own for instance.
This will give you one of the best players around, and will also give you 5.1 surround sound ( better than plain old dolby surround ) for not much more than of you bought the whole Bush package.
Hope this helps.

I bought one about a month ago and I`m very please with it. Granted the player probable isn`t the best but it work fine for my needs. The surround system is good too. The player plays R1+2 DVD`s and MP3 audio.

I too am the proud owner of one of these systems. No grumbles so far. A good all round entry level piece of kit.
Does anyone know how to enable the games which are apparently built in?

Could airwolf99 or britman please tell me the dimensions of the subwoofer?
Need to make sure I can hide it behind the TV cabinet and keep the missus happy.
Cheers
