Panic ye not, Mr Homeboy Sir. Think you`ll find that as the Wharfey is a remote control hack all of this gubbins won`t apply. WHV are only really after those pesky Far Eastern guys after all (not meant to be xenophobic - WHV are very concerned about the flood of R1 imports to the Far East, not us Ne`er Offend No-one Brits)...

patriot doesn`t work with the 750.. :/

doesn`t mention the 750s, but i`d expect it will be ok, as it can be set to single region..

pity really, i prefer the 750 (updated) to the 750s.

also, they are VERY worried about us in UK importing..

thats going to be a LOT of lost cinema viewings, due to people buying the DVD.

thats something they want to cut as much as possible, and the whole reason behind RCE.

Sony done a similar thing with the psx in Japan and the USA, anti-mod.. If your psx was chipped, the game wouldn`t run, forcing people to use a cracked pirate copy. same thing will happen here, people will just get a cheap pirate copy of the DVD (thats identical to the original), with the RCE check removed so it never checks.

Tesco`s Massive sales of the Warfdale was partially due to it being multiregion, the fact that it will not play the patriot will get through to Tesco (probably already has) and they will have something done about it.

undoubtedly most of there films do, but you can`t blame there business model, just because it affects you, they are only protecting there own profit margins, if as a business they didn`t, i`d be VERY worried

well, theres not exactly a lot they can do, other than offer te 750s in all stores, and quickly phase out the 750..

as for "wait and see", i`m not exactly a wait and see type of person, what good would waiting do me, when i can go out and get a 750s now. how does waiting make any difference?

well you see, it`s too cheap to be a proper player, and too expensive to be a budget player, so it`s stuck in a limbo, with most people who see it for sale thinking either;

A: May as well save a few quid and get a budget player
or
B: May as well spend a few quid more and get myself a proper (usually sony) player..
