The 3 Best 32 inch LCDs?

C2 Lad (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 3rd April 2006, 15:43

Hey everyone,
need some advice with the new TV!
the missus and I have decided that 32 inch is big enough for our needs, and i will be gaming on it a lot so i think LCD is the way to go.
our budget is no more than around £1400 max (less if possible)
so what are the top three that we should go have a look at?

just do a search for 32" LCD on here and i am sure you will find loads of info to help you out. Think you will find the Samsung 32" LE32R41B HD Ready Widescreen LCD TV will come tops. I have one and its the nuts. Saying that, its only about £800 so you may want to go for a 42". Good luck hunting.

The Samsung is good, but the following two JVC`s get better reviews.

JVC LT32DS6 - Not much more expensive than the Samsung
JVC LT32DX7 - Beautiful looking thing with hidden speakers.

Hi

I just got the Samsung LE32 R41BDX from Freemans for £680. 20% discount for 1st order, and then 5% cashback through quidco.

It is stunning especially using the computer. I`m not sure about the Samsung M61, but most reviews reckon it is one of the best LCDs around. Only the Loewe, Panasonic, and one Hitachi set seem to recieve better reviews. What HiFi said that it would have been an early 2006 award winner if not for the contrast problem. Blacks are very black, and sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference between shades of black. However, after using a THX setup from any THX disc (eg Star Wars) this problem has virtually gone away.

Loewe use a sharp panel. We have just droped Loewe. They are good but no longer ahead of the game as the were with CRT. You can get better for your money. The 61 Samsung has an 8ms responce time. this has eliminated lag. The claim a contrast ratio of 5000:1, take that with a pinch of salt but the blacks are very black.

Sorry - I did`nt make it vary clear. Most of my message was about the LE32R41BDX. The M61 looks even better, but for twice the price.

Ok well so far i have compiled a little list of about 5 LCDs i should be looking at, ill get the list from the girlfriends computer and post it up. went for a quick browse today to see if anything caught my eye but the stuff was all coming from a terrible feed. Although was looking at a nice little Hitachi and LG 32 inchers, they seemed nice and crisp.
