Page 1 of stactic or hiss on plasma tv

hello all,
just started having this problem for the past month or so, every time i turn on the plasma screen i get a loud hiss from it, it calms down after about half an hour, but if there`s something i want to watch straight away i can`t hear a thing because of the hiss, i don`t know if it`s a static problem or not, i`ve moved cables checked the leads no diffrence, the unit it self is a samsung plasma 42``, i`ve had for about four years now,please somebody help, thanks in advance.

Is this on all inputs ie TV, DVD & Sky?

Sounds like it needs attention from a qualified engineer though.


I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

yes it is, i think it`s actually coming from the tv itself
