Whats the best Scart Switcher?

raptor93 (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 22nd January 2006, 03:02

Hi Everyone
I am looking to buy a Scart Switcher, as I am a gaming enthusiast with far too many scart plugs to be switching around behind the back of the TV all the time! I have no idea which one to get though, I have heard of so many different types including:-
B-Tech Quintro+
Holdan HSR-1000
Joytech AV Control Centre
Joytech AV Control Centre 2
Keene Syncblaster
Bluedelta Smart Scart Plus
etc!
Does anybody have any recommendation as to which one to get? What would you choose as being the `best` Scart Switcher?
Thanks in advance

I have one of the bog standard
Argos scart Switcher (item 5342361)
, that only has 1 RGB connection though :(.

Eurogamer reviewed the Joytech AV Control Center 1 and 2 a while ago.

Some-one asked the same thing a while ago, `cos I remember posting that link then, but I can`t find the thread :(

Whatever you go for, if you`ve got a TV capable of RGB, make sure you get a switcher where all the sockets are wired for RGB.

Some of them bunk you off with a single RGB socket, and the rest only carry your basic composite.

I use the Universal RGB Scart System Selector from MadKatz.

I have seen this on QVC several times ( it was on last week) and it always sells out and they only want £43.00 plus £5.95 p&p,cheapest anywhere and all sockets are RGB. ;)

I will be buying one next time they are back in stock,I would have bought one last time but by the time I had checked internet prices and went to order they had sold out. :(
