What Projector Should I Buy With A £500 Budget?
Hi! :)
I want to buy a projector for around £500, mainly for playing my japanese ps2, so it must be rgb compatible.
The only machine i`ve viewed is the infocus x2. Are there any other projectors that are better at this price?
thanks in advance!
RE: What Projector Should I Buy With A £500 Budget?
There was always three problems with all projectors, I have a Hitachi PJ-TX10 myself, giving an 8 foot long by 5 foot high picture projected straight at a white wall from 10 feet away. Only use it to project two f-ilms a week on average. Brill way of seeing fi-lms.
Probs...
Noise from cooling fan... now solved, fans are a lot quieter, no longer requiring an acustic sound hood.
Resolution (decent picture) ... now solved on new machines in the last few years, wonderful pictures now.
Price of projector bulb... NOT SOLVED, still in the region of £100 to £250 per bulb depending on what make.
Example .. my machine cost me £900 two years ago, you can now get a bit cheaper, but the bulbs are still £194, which usually last between 1800 to 2500 hours.
I have found it to be an execellent & reliable machine.
So make sure you know how much your bulb will cost, if you are going to use it for a lot of hours per week.
