I`m looking at a budget system and considering two amps.
Denon AVR1601 and Yamaha RX-V420RDS. Does anyone have any advise about which would be preferable.

how much u lookin to spend? if u can stretch to 300 quid i know where u can get the new onkyo 595 with DTS and Dolby pro logic 2... it retails at 450 and got 5 star review in last month what hi-fi mag...trounced everythin in its class,,, but as i say i know where it is on sale at 300 if u interested look at this post for more info.. http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=223&Thread=49885
trust me,, i know about hi-fi stuff and u wont find anythin to touch this any less than 500-600 notes.. maybe more..:0) happy buyin
