I have just got my money back on a Hi-Fi DVD player all in one job from Dixons and have got the above to spend in there stores.
I need some advice on what to buy please.

i need:

Multi-Regional (via simple handset hack) DVD player with CDR and VCD play back

A Hi- Fi with at least a Dolby Pro Logic decoder on board.

As this was my Hi-fi and DVD player in one i need both for under 400 quid please, any advice and prices would be great as i have`nt look at prices of stuff for ages since i last bought this 8 months ago.

Thanks very much in advance, i`am just a little pi**ed of i can only spend it in Dixons and Currys! Rizel

Simple,

As far as i know Dixons sell the Yamaha vs10 all in one surround system. Its £350 so i suggest you find an extra £150(ish)first and get yourself either the Cyberhome dvd player,or the Monato g1 from Tesco. Both great players and a perfect complement to the Yammy, which is absolutely fabulous for the money.
My advice may seem like a tall order, but unless you want to plump for the Sony davs300(which is the most affordable package Dixons sell),the i suggest you save the extra coffers and go for my reccomended set up,you WILL NOT be dissapointed!

Give me(or indeed any of us) a shout if you need more advice.

All the best,

Westy

Sounds good advice - Cyberhome 512 £119.99 at Richer - I`ve been well pleased with mine so far.... don`t bother buying the multiregion upgrade from Richer - you can download it FOC and burn to CDR to install on player.
