Sony STE-DE475 & Sony SA-VE225 PASCAL speakers- The HTK 475

I was really considering purchasing this set-up for my bedroom but from what I`ve heard on this forum the PASCAL speakers aren`t very good. Anyone who has actually heard what the amp and speakers can do or anyone who has an opinion on this can you please reply to this thread as I really dont want to spend over £300 on a sub standard system as I`m sure many of you can appreciate. I have a very small room, about 8ft across so would this be sufficient? Also if people feel the HTK 475 is really not the option I should be looking at can you please recommend some other systems?

There`s also the Yamaha DTiB40 and the Videologic DTS ,home Theatre Packages. I`m currently in the same situation as yourself and am wondering which of these systems to buy......... (though I need mine for my lounge, not the bedroom :)
