Page 1 of Advice please re buying a new system

I am thinking of buying a new home cinema system but not sure what to buy. Basically I would like a Surround Sound system with all mod cons (5.1 Dolby Pro Logic etc) inc a DVD and be multi region without voiding a warranty.
Here is the rub though. If at all possible I would like to avoid buying from a company I have never heard of 6000 miles away. High St all the way if possible. It`s probably stupid of me but I recently had loads of trouble with the whole mail order system when buying a computer and want to avoid that and just be able to take it back if and when a problem occurs.
Oh and if the DVD player is a recorder too then even better!

Sounds like you might end up at Richer Sounds - multiregion out the box, and their warranty scheme is cheap, and you get your money back at the end if it is not used during its lifetime.
