Just thought you`d all like to know that I found a free Samsung DVD-511.
You have to sign up for a BTCellnet mobile at £15/month for 12 months, but it seems pretty good to me.

Have got this took 6 weeks to come - with a phone with 600 free mins a month - DVD seems as good as you coudl get for sub £150 - any info on hack , region or macrovision appreciated

Is the phone deal any good, Chas ? My Vodafone contract is due to expire in a month...are there free calls included ?

And how decent is the Samsung 511 ? Reports from current owners particularly welcomed....

(Just thinking one for the bedroom would be pretty cool - if the 511 is any cop might see me sleeping with my Encore 450 !!!!)

You need to use the "Double Cold Start" hack from 709online.com every time you wanna play a non R2 disc.

However, read into your phone contract first..there are some really good deals on phones available, and you can buy the player itself for under £199.

If however, you are due to change your phone, then it`s a decent enough deal.. but check the "minutes" cost of the mobile!!
(usually inclusive minutes are off-peak only)

Now, if ya want a sub-£200 player with real quality, I would just like to say.....

After waiting 9 weeks i still have not received the samsung dvd 511,
The mobile phone had a software fault it displayed the message uk-10 rather than uk cellnet, so far i find the service at car phone warehouse crap,
I can only hope that the samsung dvd 511 is worth the wait.
