Panasonic DMR EH50 DIGA DVD

MarkGixer6 (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 9th May 2005, 12:51

Just wondering about buying one of these for £335.
I need the multi format playback, as I have disks of various types.
Are there any other makes/models of comparible quality/price I should be looking at, or is this the best I can get for my money?

Cheers

Have read a few good reviews about the EH50 in a few magazines so that prompted me to see what the online community thought.

You should check out a previous thread about dvd recorders/hard disk recorders. It recommends the Pioneer 520 as well.

Did some comparison shopping and they look about like for like. Prices are similar too.

If you want the EH50, they`re cheaper prices than £335. I`m looking at a multi region version for £289 that I`m all but decided on, and they`re cheaper still if you don`t care about multi region.

Thanks for the reply. I have already bought the Panny now. The offer for £335 was buy now pay later (at zero interest), so that suited me anyway. I can confirm that it is a great bit of kit. I haven`t needed to consult the instruction book yet, because the remote control, and on screen menus are so easy and logical to use (Philips should take note). Very happy with my purchase.
