Lost Sky Signal

groucho (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 13th January 2005, 22:25

I`ve lost the signal from my dish since the high winds so I guess my dish must have moved. I`d be grateful if anyone knows the position of the Astra sat. I seem to remember its something like 19 degrees east of south.

Depending on which setup you have.

The position of the Astra 2 A,B, & D (aka Sky Digital) satellites are 28.2 degrees east of South.
The position of the Astra 1B-H & 2C satellites are 19.2 degrees east of South.

Your welcome (though I had to check on another site first), its been years since I played with satellite dishes\decoders (still have a 80CM job alongside the Sky Digital).

Sky Digital & working away from home put paid to that "hobby".

I enjoy being wrong and clueless on other subjects - My wife usually alerts me to which ones, as there seem to be an awful lot around the house.
