Page 1 of Big Problem with Panasonic DMR E50 ...screwed up output settings now im blind !!!

Omg ..i just kicked myself out of using my DMR E50 cause i was messing around
with the AV1/AV2 settings and changed it from EXT LINK 1 (or 2) to something else
now i dont get any picture at all at cant change any settings anymore since i cant
see the menus anymore cause the TV wont receive a signal anymore.

How can i get my unit to show up menu on screen again !!! The manual is a POS
and i coulndt find a working factory reset trick either ..one site mentioned pressing
time slip + reverse skip + eject for 10 seconds during standby to reset it ..but that
didnt work like that

Please help me !!!!!

Maybe someone could write down the remote button sequence i have to follow
blindly to access SETUP --move cursor to the field where i can select AV1/AV2
and then set the 3rd field to EXT LINK 2 or EXT LINK 1 again !!!! I cant manage
it blindly since i cant see where the cursor starts when i access the "function"
menu !!!

I`ve got the DMR E55 which is busy at the moment but give me an hour and I`ll send you the button presses to access the default settings; I assume it won`t be radically different to your machine but at your own risk etc.,

I take it you`ve tried a total power down and restart?

Remember this is for a DMR E55...

Press functions

Press down three times (now in Set Up menu)

Press Enter

Press down once (now in Others)

Press right

Press down 4 times (now on Default Settings)

Press Enter

Well yes maybe i chose a setting that not works but theres NO warning anywhere
in the manual, theres no failsafety for the customer and no hardware reset function
either...so that is weak design rather than my fault.

Can you not follow the manual for your player?
