LG 3200E - Swopped out and looking good !! woo hoo

Hi guys and gals,

Well had my player swopped out the other day due to it not playing the Toy Story Bonus disk. Theory I had was that the firmware LG were working on was 1.5 as a replacement seeing that 1.4 was out already. To my surprise the new player had 1.4 firmware but it now plays the disk with no problems, albeit a little slower than normal but I can live with that.

I can now also hack it and with great delight managed to watch x-men R1 for the first time on the player (instead of the laptop, which BTW is gives a good picture).

The only issue I do have is the drive sounds noisy compared to my original and sometimes it freezes when selecting certain scenes in films, but hey at the end of the day it does what I want it to do, play DVD`s, so whats the problem in moaning. I`ll just wait until all the swop out`s are done and then just request Brands send a new one !!

So although it took LG & Brands a while to deliver, can`t crumble at the service !

Now anyone interested in any R2 films ?????? LOL

if your not happy with the noise and freezing - let em know -i did , but my swap out wasn`t freezing ,just a really noisy drive and the player looked like it had come from a bad car boot sale. two days after i complained i had another replacement in immaculate condition, lovely quiet drive and just as fast as my original, better picture too!

I`ve just received my new player with 1.4 firmware and everyting seems O.K. only thing is I`ve no R1 disks as yet. Will my player deffinatley play Region1 now?

Only took 2 days to receive it. Not bad!
