Hi I`m thinking of purchasing this combi unit (Philips 15PT6807) as an xmas gift, it`s around £160 on the net. I can`t seem to find any reviews of it at all, just wondered if anyone can point me to a review of it or even your own opinons if you`ve used/own one? I know very little about AV stuff. The reason I`m looking at this one is it has a flat 15" screen, but any alternatives would be gratefully received. Thanks Tricky P.S. Is the DVD player region free or hackable even?

If you dont mind the same make 14" but not flat and a free movie for £120 look at the ebuyer website www.ebuyer.com model 4pt6107 but by quick if you want one.

Cheers for the reply blodwin, I`ll have to see if I can look at some in the flesh this weekend, it`s probably the only safe way to buy. I`d love to buy an LCD TV and seperate DVD player but the small ones are still really pricey for what you get. Cheers T
