Sky + .You are able to record two channels at the same time also watch one & record another? Does the box send 2 RF signals out so in the bedroom etc you can watch the two channels you left it on?
I see the boxes are £99.00 now so apart from a subscription is that it? :) or is there a further payment? >:( Please don`t send me to the SKY site. I`d just like a plain English answer. :) Thanks in advance.

You can record, saw, Sky one and Sky Movies simultaneously whilst watching one of the two, but you couldn`t wath Sky Sports, and record Sky one and Sky Movies at the same time. (I think that`s what yer saying there anyway Paull, record two diff simultaneous channels, and watch one of those being recorded), but you can also go into the planner and watch something you recorded earlier whilst the two recordings are happening.

No. It does have 2 RF outputs, but will only output one signal from them. Although there is now the new "tv shape RF outlet 2" option in the menu, so maybe Sky have the hardware in there and working on the software, basically, the two RF`s output whatever you are physically watching on the Sky+ box.

Well..there`s your install, but I think Sky are doing them free at the minute?
Sky+ needs twin LNB cables because they have a quad LNB supplied. Sky+ boxes are twin tuner, so two feeds to that box required.
Apart from that and the subscription (1 or more premiuim channels in your Sky package get a free Sky+ programme guide subscription), that`s it!
Well worth considering the extra tenner and relocating the other box for the bedroom etc. if you have family, but be warned, you then need them plugged into the phone line! Lol
HTH, any other queries...shout....
Oh...and I`m about to do the hard drive change thing in the next few days...I`ll post how it goes :)

Honestly, dead easy you know!! At least as easy-pssibly easier- than sticking a new one in your PC. Just make sure you`ve got a T10-Torx security screwdriver bit for undoing the white outer casing. Despite the fact that I make my living selling stuff like that, I`mn ashamed to say I had to make a trip to Maplins for one!!
I think I posted a link to you a couple of weeks ago that gives you a step by step guide?
In case I didn`t ...

Took me 20 minutes from unscrewing the first screw to plugging it back in...and I`ve got fingers like Cumberland Sausages!!!
We`re looking to get Sky+ at the mo, rang sky and got quoted £199, website quotes £149 for existing subscribers, but only £99 for newbies! Should we argue to get it for £99? Are we likely to get it?
Come on Paull, get with it.Catch up with the rest of us who love Sky+(when its working),and you can leave your silly RAM discs to go mouldy.

The only thing stopping me buying Sky + is I can`t share it with my friends.

Won`t be long before we can start swapping hard drives :D :D
OOOhhh...now there`s an idea...
External hard drive casings with hard drive caddy`s fitted instead of leaving in the front bezel...won`t look nice..but how many frikkin hours of storage could we theoretically get ourselves then?
And why NOT make it "shareable" hard drives within the family etc?
...I got a coupla old drive casings kicking around...I might just try this and see if it works or screws up :D

They already exist!!!

Hard drive sits in a removeable caddy behind the front LCD display, and it`s also got a USB connection for trandsferring to/from a PC as well. DVD player (NOT recorder) will play just about any format you throw at it.
Great machine...picked mine up on ebay (Auvion sell direct on there)
