It is now starting to bug me that on slow movement shots I can see a jerkiness with the picture. R1 Cider House Rules opening shot where the train arrives is one example; you can see jerks in the train`s movement, almost like frames are missing. The opening menu of the kids` R2 Stuart Little is the same as the camera pans down the buildings to Stuart`s house. Am I going to need to send it back? It`s annoying now I know that its there. are you outputting the disc as pal?
if so this is the pull down effect where because NTSC is 29 fps and pal is 24 so frames have to be lost in the conversion.
and it is most notible when the camera pans.
output ntsc if you tv takes it, it should help

Sounds like the problem. I`m pretty sure the output is set to auto. Wouldn`t this output NTSC for R1 discs and Pal for R2? Will try switching to either NTSC or PAL for releveant discs - bit of a bind though! Many thanks, Sword

Ironduke you`re a star! Switch was set to PAL not auto. Many thanks. Still have the problem on the intro sequence for R2 Stuart Little though. May be the disc? Will post in the software forum to see if anyone else has noticed. Cheers, Sword

I had the same problem with the Stuart Litle disc on my Aiwa 370! I think there is some kind of problem with the disc!I haven´t had any problems with any other disc, so it must be the disc!

I have this problem on my LG3350 - the 370 uses virtually the same internals.
I put it down to the fact that the jerkiness is occurring `within` the menu system. I also miss some of the mouse`s words.
During the film proper, everything is very smooth.
