Page 1 of Benq 16x DVD Writer!! (& Dual Layer)!!

At work ( P C World) we had some 16 speed Benq DVD writers out the back. Not scanning so could not find a price?

I`ve not seen any 16 speed discs yet?

Blimey, the 8x ones have only recently made a widespread appearance.
I wouldn`t expect the 16x discs for some time - or dual layers for that matter

Also - if I remember rightly, 16x is as high as DVD-writers can physically go (due to spin-speeds I think)

Dunno about the 16x discs, but the dual layer discs are (kind of) here at last. I say kind of because the only place I`ve seen them so far (www.cd-rmedia.co.uk) are charging a tenner each! I can`t see many of them getting sold at that price, but I`m sure they`ll get cheaper pretty rapidly as the technology catches on.

Ebuyer seem to be selling the Benq 16x Dual Layer for £82, no reviews yet though.
