RE: Acronis True Image 9.0...Bargain backup software

Great spot - that`s a good price for great backup & image software. I thought I`d done well gtting it for about £25 from Amazon to replace my ageing Drive Image 2002 s/w.

My advice is to not bother installing the version on the CD - just use the supplied key code in the case to register on the Acronis web site & then download the latest version of True Image. It fixes some bugs and doesn`t require the CD version to be installed first.

RE: Sony Ericsson T610 - 800 offpeak & 200 peak mins/mth = £9.79 per month

I think the offer is actually for 800 mins of off-peak to landlines & other Orange phones, plus 200 mins of off-peak cross-net to other mobiles. ie no inclusive peak minutes. Thats how I read it from the tariff details & small print.

RE: Tesco - Cheap Home Cinema DVD Kit

Apparently works with the Technika 108 hack:

RE: Tesco - Cheap Home Cinema DVD Kit

This system also caught my eye.

I think it is by Technika & surprisingly at that price point it says it has Dolby PLII as well as Dolby Digital 5.1.

In addition to the DVD it also says it has a digital tuner.

I don`t know the model code but think it is the same system as this one for sale on Ebay:

If it does really have Dolby PLII & can use this with stereo inputs from say your TV, VCR &/or digital decoder then it could be a good bargain.

Hope this helps.

RE: Bargain Universal Mobile Phone Hands Free Kit £2.49 ON Play.com!!

Quote:
Silly question, but can you plug the cig lighter in the "other" outlet???

No, the instructions clearly warn that you must not. I guess its down to the heat. The extra outlet is only intended for a charger for your phone & the like. I use mine for a radar detector when using the phone hands free in the cig lighter socket.

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast

Hi,

Does anyone know for sure the exact model of the JVC 32". I rang to ask but the sales guy I spoke to said he knew nothing & couldn`t tell me anything that wasn`t on the web site. I ordered one earlier on the basis that I could cancel if it doesn`t look like such a good deal, or if the Mrs flips too much when she find out.

RE: Cheap Rechargeable Batteries!

Plenty still in stock at Tesco Sandhurst/Camberley this morning - AAs, AAAs & a few charger packs. They have them in 2 sections - some near the photo section just inside the entrance & more in a battery section at the end of an aisle in the middle of the store near the tills.

A great find Dusty ²ºº³©™ as we were short of AAAs, & to get 750mAh ones for that price was great timing. Nice to find a bargain that wasn`t sold out by the time I got there.

Cheers.

RE: Breadmaker £9.99 at Tescos

Couldn`t get one at Tesco in Camberley, but they do have a Goodmans GBM625 breadmaker marked down from £119 to £29. Not quite such a "how can you go wrong" bargain as £9.99 though.
