MULTI REGION

Is it worth having a DVD chipped to be multi-region, as it then invalidates the warranty?

Paul,
Still deceiding either Pioner XV-DV55, SonyDAVS300, or Panasonic SCHT80. I dont know which one to buy yet any recomms?. But whichever one should i pay to have it Multi region, or not?
I have spoken to some Dealers who will give it a one year warranty (not Manufacturers) which is proberly not worth the paper it is written on.

It has to be. New goods in the UK must carry a minimum 12 months warranty by law.

And if they claim it`s multi-region, then it must also support that feature.

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Jimbo,
The problem is that if i order my dvd from a dealer over the phone any problems will have to be dealt with by post ie 2 months without my dvd, + parts that need changing that are "normal wear and tear", thus i have to pay for it myself.
Why does the Aiwa 370rock? would you recommend this over my short list?
