Page 1 of Any recommends on a mini DV camcorder (that does digital stills also) for around £300?

Looking for one that will also do reasonable quality digital stills, with a memory card slot. DV in is not essential, as I have a DVD burner

I doubt very much whether you`ll get the feature-set that you require for £300 or anything close to it.
Double your wish-price might get close.

Have found one for £350 on pixmania; the Canon MV730i; got 5 stars in digital camcorder buyer, so I am assuming that its prety good!

I have just bought one of these have a look and see what you think.

Looks like it might do the job mate; I only want it for family occasions etc, I`m not going to be the next Spielberg!

As long as it does stills as well, I can ditch my current digicam.

I`m looking a the new Sony HC18 318 from prcdirect 329 from amazon. Stills to tape. But a good cam by look sof things.
