Haven`t bothered applying for a card.

But I did read today that that TopupTV have a total of four employees.
They`re looking for a customer base of, I think it was 400000 to break even.
Each employee only has to deal with 100000 people.

On a related note, E4 was broadcasting in the clear this afternoon, until someone noticed and pulled the plug.

I don`t think I will apply for a card somehow.

Some people have got their cards already (from what I`ve been reading on other forums), so it`s probably just a matter of time. When do they actually go on air?

call me cynical, well i am! why do you feel the need to subsribe to to a load of tripe! most of these channels used to be available free in the past.this top up rubbish is actually run by ex sky executives, obviously they smell a quick buck! amazes me the no. of people who are posting all over the net, getting excited about their top up expectations! 8)

For what it`s worth, E4 broadcast in the clear for a few minutes yesterday afternoon,
until someone realised their cock-up and pulled the plug.

Reception was crap! :(

On the other hand, I was never going to buy a card in the first place ;)

Blame the BBC for this one, they thought they were being clever, but instead they handed
Sky just what they were after, another way of getting money of the public, you could go for freeview receiver, but alot of people have not got a good enough signal to receive
digital, and have no hope of cable because they live in remote areas.
so Sky will put pressure on, to force them to pay up for a subscription.
Very Happy Ruppert Murdoch.

UKTV Gold
Turner Classic Movies (TCM)
E4
Boomerang
Cartoon Network
Bloomberg
UKTV Style
Discovery Channel
Discovery Home & Leisure
UKTV Food

for one-off £20 connection fee, £10 if it`s online

then £7.99 a month thereafter.

I don`t know what the connection fee is for. It`s not like they`re going to send an engineer round or anything. There`s no wires tojiggle or anything.

Pay a little extra and you`ll be able to get one of those soft core late night channels as well. Television Fantasy X or something.

Rip-off if you ask me. What`s Sky`s basic package? £13.50 a month for around a hundred channels?

EDIT, Just went to their site http://www.topuptv.co.uk and I see the connection is for them to send you out the card. if you lose the card or it gets damaged, you`ll have to shell out again.
