Help with Region 1 variation problem with Toshiba 220EB & Terminator 3

Hi.
I picked up a Toshiba 220EB (Multi region dvd player) from Richer Sounds a year ago.
Its played Region 1 and 2 DVDs fine.

Last week I ran through the whole Smallville Region 1 set, but this week I tried
a Region 1 Terminator 3 dvd and got the "disc playing unauthorised" message.
Smallville and other R1 discs work fine, but not Terminator 3 (Widescreen 2 disc version)
- neither disc plays.

I can`t find an RCE label on the T3 disc. Any thoughts gratefully received
as to dvd vs player problems.

There are a few discs that wont play in modded europe market dvd players chipped/or remote enable, though i must admit the only one i have come across so far is the medallion with jackie chan wont play in my phillips remote enable multiregion player, comes up this will not play in modded players on the title screen, Apart from that have not had any other problems with RCE ones. Its probably just one of those discs that your machine doesnt like, its a bit hit and miss with region 1s IMO.

The Philips hack does not play any RCE titles.
One of my players is a 220.Just tried R1 T3 and it played fine.Dodgy disc maybe.

Thanks for the advice - I`ll try another disc from a different source.
That will confirm whether it is an individual rogue disc, though
I found out last week that it runs fine on an unbranded code hacked machine
my daughter picked up in the sales. ouch! :)
